From Oakland, Berkeley and the East Bay
Decide whether you are driving or taking BART before setting your departure time. If you drive, allow for changing bridge traffic and time to park. If you take BART, use the official planner to compare connections, then add the last leg from the station to Barneveld Avenue.
Check the return journey as carefully as the outward one. Do not assume a train will still be running after dancing ends at 1:30 AM. Choose an earlier departure or arrange a rideshare or designated driver as a backup.
From the Peninsula and South Bay
For trips from Daly City, San Mateo, Redwood City, Palo Alto or San Jose, compare driving with a rail-and-local-connection plan. Caltrain and BART serve different origins, so use the route that fits your starting point rather than treating either as a direct venue stop.
If friends are coming from several cities, agree on one arrival time and share the exact address. Aim to reach check-in before 8:00 PM for beginning bachata or before 8:45 PM for beginning salsa.
From Marin and the North Bay
A Friday trip from Marin or farther north needs room for bridge and city traffic. Compare current routes on the day, leave time for parking and have your ticket details ready before reaching the entrance.
If your trip includes transit, confirm both the cross-bay service and the final local connection. Late-night return options may differ from your outbound route. Arrange your plan home before the social begins.
Make the trip worth the planning
Beginning bachata and salsa are scheduled on the same night, followed by two rooms of social dancing. You can try a lesson and a social without coordinating separate venues. No partner is required for the beginning lessons.
